The game crashes as soon as I start it. Do you need XNA to run this game?
Windows Vista 32bit SP1
Visual C++ Express SP1
I'll try to help but the game crashes as soon as I double click the icon. |

I tried doing compatability mode but none of them worked, but running NT at least gave me an error...

Hmm, thanks for letting me know about this error. I think the installer should take care of any XNA requirements. Also, I have run the game on my laptop which is also running Vista 32 bit. I'll look at look at the information you provided some more and let you know if I come up with anything.
What graphics card do you have? |

That is a good idea. I did have someone try it who probably didn't have either, and it worked, so I'm not sure if installing them will help, but it is good to check and know for sure.
From the looks of your graphics card I guess this is a laptop? Someone else had a problem running on a laptop, but they were only getting a low framerate, not an actual crash.
If we can't get it figrued out with the current version, I will include more logging and diagnostics in the next version, so we can try to see where the problem is occuring. |

Ok, it's working now, I installed:
Visual C# 2005 Express
Visual C# 2005 Express SP1
XNA Game Studio 2.0
fyi, I already had .NET Framework 3.5 SP1, so it's not that. |

Hmm, I'm glad to hear its working. I'll have to investigate more about what the installer takes care of and what it doesn't.
I looked though the server logs and didn't see a connection that looked like you, were you able to connect? |

Ok, I had to reset the modem this weekend and I forgot to change one of its settings. You should now be able to connect.
(I was wondering why I hadn't seen anyone else on for a while... :p) |

| A followup about the origional problem--the installer was not checking for XNA Framework. I will add a check in the installer for the next version. I just added a list of requirements on the downloads page with links to get anything you don't already have. |
